Twenty-three Black Princesses depart Accra Wednesday for FIFA U-20 World Cup qualifier against Senegal

Black Princesses coach Yussif Basigi has named his final 23-players for the first leg of the final round qualifier in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup against Senegal. Maafia Nyame, Persis Martha Oteng, Salamatu Abdulai and Faiza Seidu will travel with the team for the first time after impressing the coach in training.

Other notable names include, Ampem Darkoa Ladies’ Mary Amponsah, Comfort Yeboah, Deborah Brown, Tracy Twum and Abena Anomah Opoku who missed the last game in the previous round due to the club’s participation in the CAF Women’s Champions League.

The Black Princesses will look to book a ticket to a seventh consecutive appearance at the Biennial tournament in Columbia later this year. The 1st leg is scheduled for Saturday, January 13, 2024 at the Thies Stade Lat Dior in Senegal.
