Twenty players train in Casablanca ahead of Central African Republic clash in Meknes

Twenty players took part in training at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca, preparing for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic.

Ghana has been based in the Moroccan capital since Sunday, gearing up for the crucial match on Wednesday.

The players included Lawrence Ati Zigi, Benjamin Asare, Joseph Anang, Alidu Seidu, Gideon Mensah, Jerome Opoku, Ebenezer Annan, Alexander Djiku, Elisha Owusu, Thomas Partey, Kwasi Sibo, Prince Owusu, Mohammed Kudus, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Joseph Painstil, Christopher Bonsu Baah, Kamal Deen Sulemana, Jordan Ayew, Brandon Thomas Asante, and Antoine Semenyo.

Ghana will face the Central African Republic at Stade D’Honneur de Meknes at 16:00 GMT on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

The Black Stars are chasing a fifth World Cup appearance, currently topping Group I with 19 points and just two matches left in the qualifiers.
