The 2025/26 Tema Colts League kicked off in style on Saturday, 22nd November 2025, at the Twedaase Primary School Park, marking the beginning of a 26-week journey of youth football development in the metropolis.

The ceremonial kick-off was conducted by the Chairman of the National Juvenile Committee, JoeSalam Abubakar, alongside the Regional FAs Coordinator of the Association, Daasebre Adu-Asare. They were joined by members of the Executive Council of the Tema Metro Football Association, who added their presence to the colourful opening ceremony.

This season’s competition promises to be one of the most exciting in recent years, with a total of 34 clubs participating. The league features 14 Colts Premier League sides and 20 Colts Division One League teams, all eager to showcase the next generation of football talent.

To ensure effective competition and organization, the teams have been grouped into zones, allowing for structured fixtures and enhanced community participation across the municipality.

The Tema Metro FA expressed optimism about the long season ahead, reiterating its commitment to nurturing young talent and strengthening the foundation of football through the Colts system. The next 26 weeks are expected to deliver passion, skill, and the discovery of new stars for Ghana’s future game.
