Prince Tagoe has earned a late call-up into the 23-man provisional squad announced by Ghana for the joint 2010 World Cup/African Nations Cup qualifiers which begins on Sunday.

The 21 year-old striker who plays for Al-Ettifaq in the Saudi Arabian league comes in for Matthew Amoah, who has withdrawn from the squad because he is indisposed.

Amoah, who has been in good form for NEC Breda in Holland, was making a return to the squad after missing out of the final party for the 2008 African Nations Cup.

For Tagoe, a former goal king in the domestic Ghanaian league, he rejoins the senior team, two years after he last played for the Black Stars, which was at the 2006 African Nations Cup.
