Ghana international, Prince Tagoe will see out the remaining ten months on his contract at Al-Ittifaq after coming to terms with the fact that his Saudi club are unwilling to sell him.

The Black Stars striker had been the subject of reported interest from clubs in Italy and France but Bernard Lumor, the player’s manager says he will stay in Saudi Arabia and move as a free agent when his current deal expires.

“It was clear the club did not want to sell because they have Asian Champions League engagements,” he told KickOffGhana.com.

“Prince has accepted that the best thing to do will be to see out the remaining duration of the contract.”

Tagoe scored nineteen goals in the past season and helped Ittihad to the Saudi Cup win in the process. He had hoped he would make finally make the transition to Europe after snubbing the chance to play in Germany in 2006 but Lumor is convinced that will still come.

“When he sees through his contract in ten months time, he will become a free agent and then it will be easy for him to move without any obstacles.”

Tagoe is keen to play in a more competitive environment aware that could play a part in weather he retains his place in the Black Stars line up.

He scored twice in four world cup qualifiers and is hoping to be called up for the September 5 game against Libya in Tripoli.
