Sulley wins MVP award

Sulley Muntari has become the first Ghana player after Michael Essien to be voted the MTN Most Valuable Player at the 2008 African Cup of Nations.

The midfielder was selected for the award after his contribution to Ghana’s 2-1 victory over Nigeria, a win which qualifies the four-time Nations Cup champions to the semi-finals at the on-going tournament.

Sulley was handed the Most Valuable Player award at the post-match press conference.
