Competition: 2012 African Nations Cup Qualifier

Teams: Sudan v Ghana

Venue: Hilal Stadium - Omdurman

Date: October 8, 2011

Time: 13:00 GMT [1:00PM local Time]

Ghana end their 2012 African Nations Cup qualifying campaign on Saturday with the Black Stars needing just a point to seal their spot at next year's finals.

"It will be a very tough game for us as well as Sudan. Both teams are in a dicey situation and I am sure we will play to win," said Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic.

The Black Stars go head-to-head in Group I against Sudan at the Hilal Stadium in Omdurman aware that anything short of earning a point would put their qualification hopes in danger.

Stevanovic is determined to reach the finals to be staged in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea but says the biggest challenge between now and the start of the competition on January 21 is today's game with Sudan.

Ghana, unbeaten so far in the qualifiers are chasing their fifth win after drawing one game as they chase their fourth consecutive win in the qualifying campaign.

"I know them very well and have watched most of their games recently especially at the African Nations Championship (CHAN). I think they are a very good team and are very difficult to beat at home. They have a compact team with good individual players as well. I have told my players that the game is a very big challenge for them."

Ghana top the table, leading their opponents on goal difference but have everything to play for as they need just a point to qualify as winners from the group for next year's finals.
