Goran Stevanovic has underlined his player call-up policy as Ghana coach, by demanding discipline and looking out for quality.

The new Black Stars coach declared that it was time for the national team to win trophies after he was formally introduced to the Ghana media on Wednesday.

For the 44 year-old Serbian, who begins a new era in his profession, it's a fresh start for all as equal opportunities would be given to every Ghanaian player.

“Ghana has a lot of good players. But at this moment as the coach of the team, myself and the rest of my technical team would require discipline from every player. We must be disciplined to achieve something.

“I am very committed to this job and the same must be given by everyone around the team.

“And quality is also important," Stevanovic said as he admitted that the squad he has inherited has achieved a lot already.

"Every good player has an equal chance of playing in my team."

Stevanovic's motivation techniques would be critical in lifting a squad who were a kick away from the World Cup semi-finals in 2010 to the next level as he seeks to improve the Black Stars and win trophies.

“My job would not be easy but I am delighted. My biggest challenge would be to motivate the players to believe they can do better because they have achieved a lot."

Stevanovic on Monday signed a two-year renewable contract with the Ghana Football Association.
