The Black Stars camp on Sunday were handed a presidential boost ahead of tomorrow’s final Group A game of the 2008 African Cup of Nations against Morocco at the Ohene Djan Stadium.

Ghana President, J.A. Kufour led a team made of members of government to spend some time with the team at their Fiesta Royale camp in Accra.

Also part of the President's delegation were Elizabeth Ohene - a minister of state, deputy sports minister - O.B. Amoah, Mayor of Accra - Stanley Adjiri-Blankson and Presidential spokesperson - Andrew Awuni.

President Kufour, a keen fan of the team, took turns to speak to players over their concerns and assured the team of government’s support to them for their quest to win a fifth title success at the Nations Cup.

The technical team together with the management committee of the Black Stars led by FA Vice President, Fred Pappoe and FA spokesperson, Randy Abbey held sessions with the President.

The President recounted and praised the team for their performance at the World Cup in 2006 and tasked them to emulate the sheer spirit of national pride once again at the on-going African Cup of Nations.

And before departing the Black Stars after close to two hours, the President promised the team an extra bonus package for the game against Morocco aside their agreed package with the FA.
