Senior team coach, Claude Le Roy has handed debut calls to two junior national team players, Ransford Osei and Daniel Opare as he prepares his team for the Zenith Bank 4-Nation International Tournament.

Both Black Starlet players have been training with their senior colleagues at the El-Wak stadium as Ghana prepares for the competition

The call up of the two Under-17 team players has shot up the squad numbers in the Black Stars camp to 27 for the competition which would see Ghana playing two games.

Osei, a player of premiership side, Kessben FC finished the U-17 World Cup with the Adidas Silver Shoe as the competitions second highest goalscorer with six goals.

Opare (pictured), a right-back with blistering pave down the flanks plays for AshantiGold, also a premier league team and was a key figure in Ghana’s team during the U-17 World Cup.

Le Roy initially called up 26 players but injury ruled out defender, Nana Akwasi Asare. Eight other players who were on Olympic team duty would join the team to make up the full squad.

The Zenith Bank 4-Nation International Tournament kicks off on Saturday at the 40,000-seater Ohene Djan stadium in Accra - one of the match venues for the 2008 African Cup of Nations - with Benin and the United Arab Emirates lining up for the opening day.

The Black Stars play Togo’s Hawks on Sunday, a day after Benin and the United Arab Emirates kick off the competition.

After the match-day-1 and 2 games, the competition would take a two-day break before the four team again converge at the same venue on the last day, November 21 to play the finals and for the 3rd and 4th positions.
