Ghana grinds out a 1-0 result over Tunisia to win bronze in the third place game of the African Under-17 Championship.

With no final berth for Ghana at the Championship the Black Starlets had settle for the bronze contest.

And after 24 minutes of play, Sadick Adams scored the decisive goal to win Ghana the bronze medal.

Ransford Osei headed the ball into the path of Sadick Adams who shrugged off a challenge, picked his spot and delivered a shot into the near post.

Sadick, Ghana’s top scorer at the competition with four goals could have doubled the lead for the Black Starlets but with only the Tunisian goalkeeper to beat, he watched his shot miss the far post narrowly.

Ghana, two-time African and World champions though not winners at the 7th edition of the African Championship have qualified for the FIFA Under-17 World Cup to be hosted by South Korea in August.

The other three countries in the last four of the competition have also qualified.

The final of the two-week championship comes off on March 25 between host nation, Togo and Nigeria.
