Junior national team star, Kelvin Bossman after five years with Reading has had his stay made permanent as the Royals offer him a scholarship contract.

The Black Starlets attacker and six other academy players, all currently in school would now join the club full time in the summer.

Reading’s assistant Academy manager Nas Bashir on Thursday broke the news to the clubs official website.

"Kelvin has been with us for five years. A quick striker who scores goals and has represented Ghana at under 17 level."

The Academy manager continued: "At the start of every season, I study the whole squad and apply a touch of optimism in judging which players will progress and develop into future scholars. In every training session and with every game we play, the boys are being evaluated regarding their potential in achieving a professional status at our Club in the future.

"With only four training sessions a week and typically one game to see them in competitive action, it takes a lot of consideration to gauge whether these boys will be able to handle full-time training as a scholar and our selection process over the recent years has been very successful.”
