Sharks travel to Dawu, Bechem play Wonders, Liberty host WAFA – Preview

Dreams FC gave away an early lead to lose 2-1 to Liberty Professionals on match day 27 of the Ghana Premier League. Agyenim Boateng scored a second minute goal for the Still Believe lads but Liberty came back stronger to pick the three points at the Red Bull arena at Sogakope.

Also in midweek, they suffered elimination from MTN FA Cup after losing on penalties to second-tier side Phar Rangers on penalties.

Dreams FC take on Elmina Sharks on match day 28 at the theatre of Dreams on Sunday – a game they aim to win to get back on track.

The Dawu based club have won two, lost two and drawn one in their last five Premier League outings. They sit in 7th place in the standings with 41 points – eight points’ behind leaders Accra Hearts of Oak.

Elmina Sharks are on a patchy run, after going five games without a win (three defeats and two draws) – defeat on Sunday could push them into the relegation. They lie 14th in the League table with 31 points – five points above the drop.

Their previous meeting in the first round ended 2-2 at the Nduom Sports complex.

In other matches, Liberty Professionals who have adopted the Red Bull arena at Sogakope as their home venue for the second round of the season will play against original custodians WAFA in the Sogakope derby.

Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs who are battling against the drop will host Aduana FC in Cape Coast while Eleven Wonders welcome Bechem United to the Fosu Gyeabuor Park in the Brong Ahafo derby.

Berekum Chelsea who fell to Hearts of Oak on match day 27 return home play against King Faisal at the Golden City Park.

The last game for match day 28 will be honoured on Monday - resurgent Legon Cities who climbed up to ninth after the win over AshantiGold SC will lock horns with bottom club Inter Allies in the Accra New boys derby.
