Many would have expected Black Starlets coach, Sellas Tetteh to be a happy man after Ghana beat Peru 2-0 to advance to the semi-finals of the of the FIFA Under-17 World Cup, but the manager says he is not content with the team’s scoring rate on Saturday.

Ghana overcame Peru 2-0 to advance to the semi-finals at the Changwon Main stadium in terrible weather conditions as the rains lasted the entire duration of the game.

The Black Starlets scored first in the 46th minute of the first half through Sadick Adams before Ransford Osei doubled up in the 53rd minute.

However, after guiding his team to reach the last four, Sellas Tetteh remains grateful for the Black Starlets’ ability to play good football as he rued his teams finishing which would have sealed the game in the first half.

“First of all, I'm thankful that we won this game. I'm also happy because we played good football. It's great to have played three South American teams in this tournament.

“The Peruvians, in particular, were a very good side and played impressive football. We were lucky to score the first goal in the 46 th minute and that set the trend.

“I'm not satisfied with two goals but I think we're going to improve in the games to come. We believe we can play good football against any team, even if Spain are very strong,” Sellas said in the post match interview.

Ghana captain, Paul Addo also admits the team’s inability to finish off the many chances the created and expects a tougher game against the Spaniards on Wednesday in Ulsan.

“It was a very good game for us. We didn't score as many goals as we created chances, but still we managed to keep the Peruvians from scoring.

“As for our next opponents, Spain, I saw them play on television just before our game and I think the semi-final will be tough. Even so, we'll be playing our normal game. Hopefully that'll be enough.”
