After a not too impressive put up at the Toulon football tournament by Ghana standards, the national Under-20 side struggled to kill off their hangover as they lost 1-3 to Qatar in a friendly on Tuesday in Aschheim, Germany.

The Black Satellites fell back to a 2nd minute strike by Waleed Jassim as the Qatari national side strongly held onto the lone goal lead to end the half over Ghana’s national team ranked third according to the men's tier system.

Two minutes into the second half, Waleed Jassim doubled the lead for the Asian side sealing a brace.

Ghana after 72 minutes pulled a goal back through attacker, Emmanuel Clottey but as the Black Satellites were getting into the game, Sebastien Soria made it 3-1 for Qatar three minutes later.

The game formed part of Qatar’s preparation for the Asian Cup while for Ghana, is was part of the gradual team building process.
