Liberty Professionals coach J.E. Sarpong is not too worried about the departures of key personnel after a slow start to the second round in the Glo Premier League.

The Dansoman side drew 0-0 with Wa All Stars on Saturday with Liberty squandering great opportunities in the final 15 minutes of the game.

Liberty, during the January transfer window lost two important players, Michael Helegbe and James Abban to Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak respectively.

But Sarpong insists, the departures will not affect their ambitions for the season.

"[Transfer of Helegbe and Abban] It is not putting pressure on us to get results," Sarpong said.

"It is the way you give confidence to the team. It’s the beginning and it takes time as we go on, we would pick up."

Sarpong hopes the squad will pick up the pieces after their opener and is hoping to have all his newly registered players ready for their next game against Asante Kotoko.

"It was a doggy game [match with All Stars]. We were in control in most parts of the game.

"But we are grappling with half-fit strikers. We hope by the time to play Kotoko, we would secure the transfers of other players," Sarpong added.
