AshantiGold scored a first half goal to snatch a 1-0 win against Ivorian side, Sewe Sport in the Caf Confederation Cup on Saturday.

The Miners, playing away found the back of the net, 14 minutes into the start of the game through attacker Alhaji Sani.

And the win hands new coach Zdravko Logarusic a good start having assumed post just last week following the departure of David Duncan.

Boosted by their first leg win, AshantiGold would be hoping to progress past the preliminary stage of the competition when the host the return leg in a fortnight's time at the Len Clay Stadium.
