Zone Two leaders Samartex for the first time in the season dropped points against Bekwai Youth Academy to bring to an end an outstanding six match winning run.

The leaders who have been nothing short of sensational won all six opening matches of the campaign to open a commanding lead in Zone Two – until BYFA halted their flying start on Match Day 7. The Sameraboi lads will play Pacific Heroes at the Nana Gyamfi Park at Bekwai on Saturday.

Pacific Heroes have won one and drawn three and sit in the bottom half of the stadium with 6 points – 13 points off the top and head into the match as the underdogs. A win for Samartex will boost their title hopes while Pacific Heroes aim to clinch all the points to get themselves in a good position to preserve their Division One League status.

Sekondi Hasaacas lost to longtime rivals Ebusua Dwarfs on Sunday in a fierce battle that ended 1-0 in favour of the Mysterious boys from Cape Coast. Hasaacas who have 10 points and sit 7th in the League travel to Daboase to play Division One League Super Cup champions Skyy FC at St. Martins Park.

In a bid to get their Premier League ambitions back on track Ebusua Dwarfs will be seeking to make it three wins in three matches when they cross swords with Future Stars at the Cape Coast stadium.

There is a contest between the second and third placed teams in the League log where Nzema Kotoko hosts New Edubiase United at the Ampain AA II Sports Arena.

Veteran midfielder Malick Akowuah scored in the 31st minute to give New Edubiase United a 1-0 win against Basake Holy Stars to send them second in the table. Edubiase are 8 points richer than Nzema Park but the strength of the latter could prove problematic for the former in this encounter.
