Samartex charged on two counts of misconduct

Samartex have been charged on two counts in respect of their GN Bank Division One League match against Gold Stars SC played at the Samreboi Park on 26th April, 2015.

That at the half time of the match when the match officials were about to leave for their dressing room, you failed to control your supporters when they attempted to assault the match officials and prevented the match officials from going into the dressing room prompting them to remain on the field of play during the half time rest period contrary to the GFA Regulations.

They were therefore charged on a first count for a breach of Articles 56 and 58 of the Disciplinary Code and Article 35(1)(a), 35(1)(d) and 35(10) the GFA General Regulations in respect of this match.

Also on or about the 73rd minute of the match, the club failed to control their supporters when they rushed on the match officials and also threw sticks to assault Assistant Referee 2 resulting in the hold up of match for about three (3) minutes contrary to the GFA Regulations.

On that count, they have further been charged for a breach of Articles 56 and 58 of the Disciplinary Code and Article 35(1)(a), 35(1)(d) and 35(10) the GFA General Regulations in respect of this match.

Samartex are therefore to submit their written Statement of Defence to the charge(s) on or before May 14, 2015 on or before 5pm at the GFA Secretariat or through email address to the Disciplinary Committee [email protected] failing which the Disciplinary Committee shall proceed to adjudicate the case without their Statement of Defence.

Should they choose Defence Options 3 (Personal Hearing) in their Statement of Defence, they will attend the Disciplinary Committee sitting on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 4pm at the GFA Secretariat to answer to the charge(s), failure which the Disciplinary Committee shall proceed to adjudicate the case in your absence.
