Samartex 1996 are the only unbeaten club in Zone of the Division One League – the Sameraboi based side will play Wassaman FC on Match Day six this weekend.

They sit at the top of the League with 15 points – having won all their five matches, scored seven and conceded none. Frank Awere was the hero on Match Day five as his lone goal powered them to a 1-0 win against Skyy FC on Wednesday.

They are certainly aiming at continuing with their flying start to the season as they trek to Ejisu to face Wassaman FC this weekend. The host have not fared well this season as they have bagged only 4 points from a possible 15 after five matches and sit in 12th place in the standings.

Third placed Sekondi Hasaacas returned to winning ways on Wednesday after posting a 2-1 win against Basake Holy Stars. The Doo boys will play one of their fiercest rivals Nzema Kotoko on Sunday.

Asokwa Deportivo have a date against New Edubiase United in one of the highlights for Match Day six. Edubiase have 12 points while Deportivo lie in 9th place with 6 points. With 6 points separating them – New Edubiase United will head into the match as favourites judging from their form and performance thus far.
