Quincy Owusu-Abeyie admits does not want to return to Spartak Moscow at the end of the season when his loan deal with Portsmouth runs out.

The former Arsenal youngster joined the Russian outfit in 2006 but has struggled to live up to his potential having been loaned out to three other clubs previously.

The 23-year-old regrets leaving England and believes his current Portsmouth spell is his last chance to shine in the country.

Quincy, a Ghana international scored his first goal for Pompey in their 4-1 FA Cup success over Southampton on Saturday and believes his career is now moving forward.

Though he is not looking forward to returning to Moscow, the attacker remains unsure whether he will be able to remain at Fratton Park beyond the end of the season.

"I didn't have any doubts about coming to Portsmouth because this is my last chance to show what I can do in English football," explained Owusu-Abeyie.

"Russia? I was young at the time and it was hard for me to get into the team at Arsenal with so many big names.

"My agent at the time advised me to go to Moscow and now I regret it. I had to go a step back and now I'm trying to go forward again.

"I'm only on loan so it's possible I could have to go back to Moscow at the end of the season, but it is quite difficult for me over there - it's about minus 20 at the moment."
