RTU to test Kotoko's form

Asante Kotoko will attempt to cut short their partying after beating Hearts of Oak for the first time in 16 years in Accra last Sunday as the Reds face an uphill task up North.

The Reds after their impressive victory clash with Real Tamale United at the Tamale Sports Stadium on Wednesday as the league enters match-day-23.

Kotoko who are fighting for a Champions League spot remain fifth for now with eight games left to end the season.

The home side, RTU, who are perched 11th on the standings, would need to improve their point build up considering with only seven points separating them from the bottom side.

But coming after the win in Accra, fans of Kotoko would expect the club to maintain their winning run which can somehow be halted in Tamale.

Still smarting from their loss to their rivals, runaway leaders, Hearts of Oak would be away at the Baba Yara Stadium where they take on King Faisal, who are third on the standings and also battling to win a Champions League spot.

Liberty Professionals caught up in the relegation zone would play Berekum Arsenal at their favourite grounds, the Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman since shifting grounds from Accra.

In Wa, All Stars will host Tema Youth while AshantiGold play All Blacks at the Len Clay Stadium.

The Coronation Park will host the game between Chelsea and Eleven Wise.

Hasaacas, still fretting with relegation play at home to Kessben FC with bottom side, Sporting Mirren taking on Heart of Lions at the Ohene Djan Stadium.
