Kotoku Royals and Susubiribi SC will do battle on Match Day 8 of the Division One League at the Akyem Oda Park on Sunday. The two teams are neck to neck on the League table with only one point separating them. Susubiribi SC leads the table with 16 points while Kotoku Royals sit in second place with 15 points after 7 matches in the Zone.

The leaders have lost once this season – a 3-2 defeat in the hands of Tema Youth at Sogakope remains their only slip in the campaign as they have recorded 5 wins, one loss and one draw compared to 5 wins and two draws from Kotoku Royals.

The two Eastern Region clubs are chasing after a Premier League status and a win for either side will be a huge motivation for the rest of the season.

Third placed Tema Youth who lost 2-0 to Uncle T United last weekend, return home to play Vision FC at the Tema Park on Sunday. The visitors have been very average this season churning out inconsistent performances that have seen them drop down the table having picked a paltry 8 points from a possible 21.

The Harbour Warriors will go into the game as favourites as they hold a 7 point advantage over their guests.

Meanwhile the Dansoman Carl Reindorff Park will host two of the Zone’s best sides – Nania FC and Heart of Lions on Saturday.

Former FA Cup champions Nania FC sit in 12th place with 6 points – six places below Heart of Lions who are 6th in the table with 12 points. The host come into game badly bruised following a 1-0 loss to Vision FC while Heart of Lions aim to make it two wins on the spin after edging pass Akosombo Krystal Palace 2-0 at Kpando.
