The GFA Executive Committee has approved the Match Review Panel’s (MRP) recommendation in respect of the Ghana Premier League Day 6 match between WAFA FC and Tema Youth.

Earlier, the Executive Committee approved the Match review panel’s recommendation  to restrain Referee Adu Poku from officiating the rest of the season,

However, the Match Review Panel has announced that the recommendation to suspend the referee for the rest of the season ws done in error.

The MRP indicated in its review that the referee should be suspended for the rest of the First Round of the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League season.

Consequently, in line with Article 97 of the Disciplinary Code of the GFA, which states inter alia “A deciding body may at anytime rectify any mistakes in calculation or any other obvious error detected later”.

The Executive Committee hereby upholds that you are suspended for the rest of the First Round of the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League instead of the earlier suspension directed.

All stakeholders are kindly requested to take note and act accordingly.
