Ghanaian official, Haruna Ayuba will make an appearance at the African Nations Championship today when runs the lines as an assistant referee in the Group A match between Zambia and Senegal.

Ayuba, who was selected to officiate at the eight-team tournament which kicked off last Sunday, has been named as the Assistant 1 official to the Moroccan, El Achiri Abdella for Wednesday’s match.

The Tamale-based official is the only referee from Ghana among the 16 officials at the maiden Championship organised by Caf.

Ayuba will work as a referee’s assistant during the competition which is designed exclusively for players who play in their domestic leagues and ends on March 9.
