Heart of Lions paid for profligacy in the SIC-SWAG Nyemitei Cup against Asante Kotoko as the Porcupine Warriors managed a win in the first leg clash at the Ohene Djan Stadium on Friday.

Asante Kotoko thus take a commanding lead into the return leg after a 53rd minute tap in by striker Louis Agyemang ensured that they left the grounds with a 1-0 win and remain in pole position to annex the annual media trophy.

The Cup match organised by the Sports Writers Association of Ghana which will for the first time be played over two legs has the return game scheduled for mid April at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Lions, a constant threat to Kotoko but wasteful upfront have hopes of turning the tie in their favour with coach Paa Kwesi Fabin confident of beating the Kumasi side to the trophy when both sides line for the decider.
