Kumasi Asante Kotoko kept alive their Confederations Cup ambitions after posting a 3-1 win over Algeria's JSK at the Baba Yara Stadium on Saturday.

Eric Bekoe struck a brace and gave an assist leading a goal scored by Jordan Opoku before JSK pulled one back in injury time.

Bekoe run through the JSK backline to connect home a pass from Jordan Opoku in the 39th minute, a goal which was hotly contested by the Algerians, claiming the Kotoko striker was in an offside position when the ball was kicked.

Kotoko's second goal came from the boot of Jordan Opoku, who easily tapped in.

Two goals up and the Reds were in absolute control as Bekoe grabbed the third goal when he poked in after JSK's goalkeeper Chaouchi had fumbled a shot from by Samuel Inkoom.

The goal was Erick Bekoe's ninth in nine games in this year's Confederations Cup.

But the Algerians managed to pull one back in the final minute of injury time through Tayeb Maroci.

Asante Kotoko moved from the bottom of Group B after the win with six points while JS Kabylie slipped down the table with three points.
