Milovan Rajevac places enough faith in the abilities of his Ghana team, but has played down the level of expectation ahead of today’s game World Cup qualifier against Lesotho.

Expectations remain high in the Western region of Ghana as the Black Stars get set to play the Basothos at the Sekondi Sports Stadium in the final Group 5 match.

Ghana beat Lesotho in the first leg 3-2 and need all the three points against a side yet to pick a point to go through as group winners or one of the eight best runners up from the group.

Libya and Gabon are the other teams in the running with the Libyans three points clear and Gabon ahead of the Black Stars on goal difference.

The Libyans will go through if they get one point from their meeting in Libreville on Saturday.

Despite the level of expectation, Milovan Rajevac has his feet firmly on the ground and expects a tough competition for the three points.

The Serbian coach says there is no pressure as he prepares to send out a side capable of managing the situation.

“There is no pressure. We are aware of the importance of the game but we must all be calm.

“We are not under pressure and we must show that on the pitch. We will choose the players who are completely ready, completely fit to play irrespective of name.

“We will only choose players who are completely ready,” he said ahead of the game.

Milovan Rajevac says he expects to vary the system this time round after sticking to the 4-2-3-1 formation in his first competitive Ghana game.

“I will decide which kind of formation to play but the 4-4-2 is the usual style of play here.

“Probably the players play best with this kind of formation. We don’t need to have one formation for every game. We must be ready to vary our games.”
