Ghana will be out to play Morocco in their 2008 African Cup of Nations Group A decider on Monday at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra.

Even a draw or win for the Black Stars, they will advance to the next stage, thus the quarter-finals of the tournament, regardless of the other result in Sekondi where Guinea face Namibia. Morocco must beat hosts Ghana to give them a realistic chance of qualifying past the group stage.

However, Ghana attacker, Quincy Owusu-Abeyie says the Black Stars will be looking out for a win against a side that they beat 2-0 in a friendly back in October, though he wasn’t part of that game.

“Against Morocco, we just want to do the same thing. We want to go out there and get the three points. That’s what we have to do. It’s (Black Stars) a great team, it’s a strong team.

“Morocco have a good team but we just want to go out there and do our job. We are not really concerned about our opponent. We know how they play, we know how we play. We just have to keep doing the same like as we did in the last two games,” Quincy says.

Morocco started the tournament with a heavy win, thrashing Namibia 5-1 before losing 3-2 to Guinea. And to qualify past the group stage, Henri Michel’s Atlas Lions will have to beat Ghana.

Star-player for the Atlas Lions, Youssef Hadji says it’s time to forget about the defeat and focus on the Ghana game.

“This is something to forget about and concentrate on the next match to come,” says the Moroccan player.
