Ghana international Jonathan Quartey has secured a move away from Kaizer Chiefs after the South African club agreed to release him to French side, Nice.

The Amakhosi club today confirmed the departure of Quartey to France.

“On behalf of the Kaizer Chiefs family, I would like to thank Jonathan for his contribution during his stay with the team and we wish him everything of the best in his new venture,” said Bobby Motaung, Chiefs football manager.

Quartey, who joined Chiefs from Ghanaian premiership side, AshantiGold would now be part of the Nice setup that finished in ninth in the just ended Ligue1 2008/09 season.
