Heracles will be without Ghana international Kwame Quansah for a while with the midfielder sidelined by a knee injury.

It appears more bad news for both player and club after Quansah returned to match action last Sunday in Heracles' 2-1 home victory against Sparta after a two month spell on the sidelines due to another knee injury.

The midfielder sustained a knee injury and won't return to match action before the winter break.

Quansah had to leave the pitch around the hour mark due to the renewed knee problems.

It is not yet known how long the Ghanaian international will be sidelined for, but Quansah is scheduled for knee surgery on December 24.

Quansah, one of the key players for Heracles, has only made six league appearances for the Almelo side this season due to the injury he sustained in his Ghana debut two months ago.
