Organizers of next month's international friendly between Ghana and Nigeria have confirmed that tickets purchased earlier still stand valid for the game in Watford.

Both sides were scheduled to have played a friendly on August 9 but hours before kick off, the game had to be canceled at the instance of the London Metropolitan Police following widespread unrest in certain parts of London and England.

The Ghana Football Association last week announced October 11, 2011 as the new match date for the called off game.

Ahead of the match at the Vicarage Road Stadium, Justin Addo, the match organizer today informed the media in Accra that tickets sold earlier for the game will still be valid for the rescheduled fixture.

“Tickets bought for the abortive game are still valid. About ten thousand tickets were sold and the remaining six thousand will soon go on sale in our quest to give supporters the opportunity to be part of this all important fixture,” Addo said at a press conference.

“All complimentary tickets are, however, cancelled. New once will be issued in due cause.”

Addo said even though the cancellation of the previous fixture cost his outfit, JV2i Consult financially.

“I am happy to do the same thing all over again. Obviously I was disappointed but my credibility is bigger that the losses inquired.”
