Prisons Ladies shock Northern Ladies in Tamale - Northern Zone results

Abigail Tutuwaa converted a late penalty to give Prisons Ladies a 2-1 win over Northern Zone leaders Northern Ladies at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.

Mary Rose Akunne opened the scoring for Northern Ladies in the first minute of the game forcing the visitors to mount pressure for the equaliser. The incessant pressure paid off in the 18th minute as Helena Obeng got on target for the visitors.

Northern Ladies made more attacking substitutions but that could not help their course as Abigail Tutuwaa converted a 91st minute penalty to give the visitors the win.

Pearlpia Ladies and Tamale Super Ladies sold a six-goal thriller in the Tamale derby.

Shahadu Rasheda opened the scoring for Pearlpia Ladies in the 9th minute. Abdul Rahman Barikisu added to the tally in the 20th minute to give Pearlpia Ladies a commanding lead but an own goal from Zakaria Takia of PearlPia Ladies in the 28th minute gave the visitors a lifeline.

Iddi Sharifa registered her name on the score sheet to restore the two-goal advantage for Pearlpia Ladies.

Bugre Memuna brought down Haruna Zeinab in the penalty box in the closing minute of the first half and Mohammed Rabiatu Maltiti converted the penalty kick for Tamale Super Ladies to make it 3-2 for Pearlpia Ladies before Haruna Zeinab converted a spot kick in the 81st minute to make the scoreline 3:3.

Elsewhere in Kumasi, Supreme ladies beat Dreamz Ladies in the kumasi derby.

A second half goal from Patience Berchie Afriyie gave Supreme Ladies the needed 3 points. The first half was very entertaining from both sides, much to delight of their teaming fans.

Supreme Ladies up their game in the second half and got the lead through captain Patience Berchie Afriyie in the 75th minute. Chances fell to both sides but the defence of Supreme Ladies hanged on for the win.
