The women’s Under-19 team, the Black Princesses would attempt to secure qualification for the FIFA Under-20 World Cup next year beginning with a preliminary qualifier against Guinea.

Ghana would be at home in the first leg tie on the weekend of January 11 - 13, some seven days before the African Cup of Nations kicks off as the Black Princesses make their debut in the continent’s qualifying campaign.

Africa has two slots at the World Cup to be hosted by Chile which comes up between December 30, 2008 to January 17, 2009 as sixteen countries across the continent will be playing in the qualifiers.

A win for the Black Princesses over the two-leg tie would hand them another tie with the winner of the Lesotho - Botswana game in the first round later in April.

The Black Princesses won bronze in their debut competition as they picked up bronze this year at the 9th All Africa-Games.
