Ghana will be waiting in the wings on the final day of Group D fixtures at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup 2010 on Wednesday as qualification would be dependent on the outcome of the other group match.

The Black Princesses need a final day lift with just one quarter-final place still up for grabs in Group D. Only Korea Republic are assured of a place in the last eight, while Switzerland have no chance of progressing.

That leaves Ghana and the United States, who both go into crucial games, battling for the last qualifying place alongside the Koreans.

Ghana must win big against bottom side Switzerland in Bochum and hope that the USA lose against Korea Republic if they are to stand any chance of reaching the quarter-finals.

“We are not out yet but before we make it to the next stage we would have to improve our performance and score a lot of goals against Switzerland while we pray that result in the game between South Korea and USA goes in our favour,” coach of the Black Princesses, Kuuku Dadzie said.

“United States are the defending champions that makes them a difficult side to beat but the Koreans are ahead of the United States and I will not be surprised if they (Koreans) beat them (USA) but in football anything at all can happen."
