Ghana’s women's Under-20 are hopeful of reaching the finals of the All Africa Games with a crucial away game against Nigeria on Sunday.

Both sides would play over two-legs in the final qualifying round for a place at the Games in Mozambique later in September.

The Black Princesses reached this stage of the competition after completing the preliminary round on an 11-0 aggregate victory against Liberia.

And Kuuku Dadzie's side are determined to pick a positive result ahead of the return leg in Accra.

"We play a crucial game against our rivals [Nigeria] and there's no better motivation for the girls than taking cue from the rivalry that exist between both nations.

"I trust in the abilities of my team to get a result. We respect our opponents but we can get one past them," former Ghana defender, Dadzie said.

"We have to approach the game with a positive attitude and play for win but keep a tight defence."

Ghana's two-leg clash with Nigeria in the final qualifier will determine which side secures one of the qualifying places at the Games.

The Black Princesses won bronze at the 2007 All Africa Games in Algeria.
