The build-up to the weekend's Ghana Premier League has been dominated by two coaching casualties - in Bechem and in the Phobians camp.

Both were not as a result of poor performances but issues off the field.

Milislav Bogdanovic's dismissal on Thursday by Bechem United allegedly due to his holding of talks with another side was soon followed that night by Hearts of Oak's decision to shockingly show David Duncan the exit - no reason given.

Despite the many twists that is anticipated as the season progresses, events in the boardroom will have be scrutinized by the results of the weekend's matches.

Beginning on Saturday at the T&A Park and live on SuperSport, Medeama's push for a top-four place will be tested by Aduana Stars who expect to have Bogdanovic in their fold next week.

After a slow start, Medeama have gradually improved and are lying fifth now but could have their ambitions derailed by Aduana.

Asante Kotoko's clash with AshantiGold takes centre stage on Sunday as the Porcupine Warriors will attempt to extend their lead at the summit.

The Len Clay meeting will see the reigning champions and the league leaders come up against one of this season's title contenders as the Miners push to close the gap at the top.

Much attention will follow the fixture at the Tema Stadium where Hearts of Oak begin life without Duncan in their meeting against Amidaus Professionals.

With fans unhappy with the dismissal of the former national coach, the Phobians will try to calm the tension in their ranks as Ben Adjei leads the side in search for victory.

Anything less than a win will not endear the management to the fans after deciding to dispense with the services of Duncan.

Elsewhere Bechem will also have battle Berekum Chelsea, who are caught in the relegation bracket at the Golden City Park without Bogdanovic.

In Kpando, Heart of Lions have managed to find great form at home and on Sunday they will be up against Hasaacas, who are in the bottom three.

Liberty Professionals can add to the misery of bottom side, Inter Allies when they premiership newboys visit the Accra Stadium. Inter Allies have won just once and lost nine matches.

At the Baba Yara Stadium, King Faisal will host New Edubiase as either side attempt to improve on their form last weekend.

The final game at the Robert Mensah Stadium that will be telecast live on SuperSport at 15:15GMT will see Ebusua Dwarfs take on Wa All Stars.
