Player movements during the second transfer window beckons an exciting start to the second round of the Glo Premier League this weekend.

The match-day-16 parings has one game off the fixture list this weekend as Aduana Stars get to rest with their clash against Berekum Chelsea set for next Thursday.

Chelsea are embarking on their debut in African club football.

However, Liberty Professionals and Wa All Stars will get the second round of the campaign underway on Saturday at the Carl Reindorf Park in a 3:00pm kick off game.

The Dansoman side's mettle will be tested greatly following the loss of captain Michael Helegbe and James Abban to Asante Kotoko and Heart of Oak respectively.

Lots of big games are scheduled for Sunday with the Kpando, Sekondi and Obuasi centres dominating the fixture list.

The biggest transfer business happened in the camp on Hearts of Oak where the Phobians who have won the league on 21 times, captured the signature of Ghana international Laryea Kingston and promising attacker, James Abban.

Hearts travel to the Kpando Park on Sunday to clash with Heart of Lions.

And the Phobians will be reminded by their failure to finish off their opponents in their last game as Lions twice came from a goal down to draw 2-2 in Accra a month ago.

Coach Nebojsa Vucicevic will be counting on his new additions as the spotlight will also focus on Kingston, who has been scoring during the off season.

Kotoko are not expected to use Helegbe this weekend and will also be missing star strikers Ahmed Toure and Ntahaniel Asamoah who has secured a move to Serbian side, Red Stars Belgrade when they meet Medeama.

The Porcupine Warriors are hopeful of winning their 22nd league title with coach of the side, Maxwell Konadu confirming their intent as they hold a four-point lead at the top ahead of their game at the Sekondi Stadium.

AshantiGold will welcome New Edubiase to the Len Clay Stadium in a big game after losing 1-0 in the reverse fixture.

Tema Youth, after going down 2-0 in defeat to Ebusua Dwarfs in the first round will be hoping to avert back-to-back defeats at the Tema Park.

Berekum Arsenal, second from bottom hope to avoid the drop and begin that huge task at home in the second round when they welcome Mighty Jets to the Golden City Park.

Bottom side, Wassaman travel to Bechem in the final game of the weekend's fixtures.
