Ghana have the chance to extend their fine run under Goran Stevanovic when the Serb prepares for his debut home game in the qualifying for the 2012 Africa Nations Cup when it hosts Congo on Friday.

Stevanovic alongside, Kevin-Prince Boateng would be making their home debuts with the midfielder having never played on home soil before since beginning his Ghana career back in June 2010.

The Black Stars top Group I with 7 points but with a better goal difference ahead of Sudan after three games in the qualifying campaign.

Following a convincing 3-0 win over Congo in the reverse game back in March, Stevanovic is hoping for a thrilling debut at the Baba Yara Stadium though he has warned his players the Congolese will be tough opponents.

"The game in Brazzaville was not as easy as the result says", Stevanovic said.

"They were a much better team than that but we took our chances so we will not sit here and say it will be easy in Kumasi. We will have to work very hard again to win."

Stevanovic's warning is also amplified by regular goalkeeper, Richard Kingson.

The Ghana number one says the first leg victory over the same side in the reverse fixture in Brazzaville in March this year will count for very little.

"We have to avoid what happened when we played against Sudan" he says. "We have to play this match without underestimating out opponent for one minute."

Ghana will be without the injured Samuel Inkoom but Stevanovic is also pleased to welcome back Michael Essien, who makes a return to the team after almost a year.
