The Glo Premier League has ten games to go but the battle to avoid relegation is gradually overshadowing the race for the title and continental places.

As many as eight clubs - from mid-table to bottom - would all go into action on match-day-21, aware of the significance that results picked up from this weekend would pose, come the end of the league campaign.

Apart from Berekum Chelsea who are in pole position with an incredible ten point lead at the top of the league, the change in positions after Sunday's games are always assured for the chasing bunch.

And the leaders would be involved in one of the biggest games of the weekend when they welcome second placed Medeama SC to the Golden City Park.

Chelsea, with a comfortable lead can extend that point gap to thirteen but a Medeama win would cut Chelsea's lead at the top to seven points.

The weekend presents a derby with Liberty Professionals and Accra Hearts of Oak clash at the Ohene Djan Stadium on Saturday.

Both sides are level on 25 points apiece and remain aware of the threat of dropping points which would possibly leave either of them closer to the bottom of the table.

Aduana Stars, third on the table have not given up hope of pushing to the final day as they hope to successfully defend the title won on their premier league debut, last season.

But coach Herbert Addo's side, who are 13 points off the top face a big test when they travel to Kumasi to meet an improving Asante Kotoko side, who are sixth on the standings after a disappointing first round performance.

Real Tamale United, second from bottom have hopes of moving up the table but need to get past AshantiGold first when both sides clash at the Len Clay Stadium.

At the Kpando Park, Heart of Lions would take on Berekum Arsenals while Ebusua Dwarfs would be at home to bottom club B.A. Stars in Cape Coast.

Mighty Jets would make welcome King Faisal to the Akosombo Park as the league's newcomers play their debut game at the venue.

All Stars have endured a mixed season but would be determined to pick all three points against New Edubiase at the Wa Park.
