The First Capital Premier League returns this weekend with all eight matches scheduled for Sunday March 8 at the various League centres.

After sealing qualification into the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup, Hearts of Oak will return to local action when they travel to the Essipong Stadium as guests of Hasaacas.

The game which promises to be exciting will see both sides eager to secure all three points as Hasaacas have slipped down the League table with Hearts of occupying the 12th position after their narrow win over Aduana in their last league match.

Elsewhere, Heart of Lions will host WAFA at the Kpando Stadium in the first Volta Regional derby between the two sides.

WAFA have been in fine form recently but going in to the “Lions Den” will be a difficult task for the team that was promoted into the topflight this season.

Lions are third on the League log and will be poised for a win that could help them leap over second-placed Aduana Stars.

At the Dormaa Agyeman Badu Park, Ash Gold will be guests of Aduana Stars in a battle of the top two on the League log.

Ash Gold are comfortably leading the League table with 22 points whiles Aduana come second with 16 points.

Bottom placed BA United will seek to overturn their run of negative results which has seen them earn 7 points out of 9 matches played so far.

Ex-Ghana international Mohammed Gargo who has taken over as Coach of BA United will begin his role against 11th placed Wa Allstars at the Sunyani Stadium.

Meanwhile Champions Asante Kotoko will hope to return to winning ways and appease their teeming supporters when they host Medeama SC at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

Kotoko are lying just above the relegation zone with 10 points whiles Medeama are 9th with two points more than their opponents.

In Accra, Liberty Professionals will host Bechem United at the Dansoman Carl Reindoff Park with Olympics also playing against Inter Allies in a regional derby at the Accra Stadium.
