The weekend will see six premiership games as two other games will come off in midweek.

The only Premier League fixture to be played on Saturday sees Mighty Jets lock horns with Medeama at the Accra Sports Stadium before the bulk of the games are played 24 hours later.

AshantiGold remain the Glo Premier League's in-form team in the second round of the competition, having collected 15 points on the road.

The side coached by ex-international, Yaw Acheampong have won all five games in the second round which has taken them from below mid-table contenders to third on the standings.

On Sunday, the Miners will be chasing their sixth straight victory in the league when they travel to the Kpando Park to face Heart of Lions.

“We have had a very good run in this second round and we will be looking to continue on this path against Heart of Lions,” Acheampong said ahead of the game.

Lions could burst the Miners' bubble but their inconsistent form at home gives Acheampong a fair chance of taking all three points.

Table-toppers Asante Kotoko make the short visit to the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi aiming to build on their nine-point lead at the summit when they take on Ebusua Dwarfs, who play their first home match away from home following the closure of the Robert Mensah Stadium due to crowd violence.

Hearts of Oak, who rallied back to pull a draw in Tarkwa on Wednesday await Liberty Professionals in the Accra derby.

The game will be the first for new coach C.K Akunnor following his appointment as coach of the Phobians as they attempt to put the pressure on the top.

New Edubiase will attempt to return to winning ways at the Gyamfi Park where they welcome Wa All Stars who are scrapping for a top four finish.

Wassaman's hopes of preserving their top flight status continues with a home game at the Tarkwa T&A Park against Aduana Stars.
