The Premier League Board of the Ghana Football Association has today confirmed that the date for the President’s Cup fixture scheduled for July 1 remains unchanged.

Local media reports had claimed that the fixture had been taken as a result of the busy Glo Premier League calendar.

But in a reaction following a stakeholders meeting between the FA, PLB and the Ghana League Clubs Association, Welbeck Abra-Appiah Chairman of the PLB has confirmed that the fixture has not suffered any changes as reported.

According to Welbeck Abra-Appiah, the President’s Cup match has been accommodated on the FA’s calendar for the domestic Glo Premier League.

Due to the cup match, the match-day-26 league fixtures will be on 24th June 2009 instead of 28th June 2009.

The match-day-27 round of games will come off on 28th June 2009 instead of the earlier scheduled 1st July 2009.
