Our appreciation is particularly directed to fans who turned up in their numbers at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and to the millions more who followed the action in Ghana and beyond in playing a massive role as the 12th-man to catapult the team to victory in this very difficult match.

The technical team, playing body, management of the Black Stars and by extension the entire GFA are extremely grateful for the massive show of love and support to the team despite the match being played on an official working day.

We also want to express thanks to the support staff and security personnel for the immense role played over the past couple of days leading up to the game and encourage them to continue to offer their best to the team while they are here.

We’re forever grateful to Government, in particular the Sports Ministry and our cherished sponsors for the continuous support they provide the team and also officials of the National Sports Authority.

We also reserve special thanks to the media for the diverse ways in which they promoted the match in helping realize such a massive crowd at the stadium.

I can assure you that this amazing show of love and support from all quarters will never be taken for granted and urge that this re-ignited passion will be extended to all our domestic competitions as we collectively work hard to return our football to the highest possible pedestal.

God bless Ghana, and continue to make our Nation GREAT AND STRONG!!!
