President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has expressed appreciation to Team Ghana Liaison Officer Mabel Addai and the Providence Police Command for their support to the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

President Okraku, together with Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States of America, (H.E Victor Emmanuel Smith), paid a courtesy call on Ms. Addai and members of the Providence Police Command staff following the team’s arrival in Rhode Island on Thursday.

“I expressed my sincere appreciation to Ms. Addai for her dedication and tireless coordination in facilitating arrangements for Team Ghana,” President Okraku said.

“I also commend the Providence Police Command for their professionalism, partnership, and readiness to support our delegation throughout this important global tournament.”

The Black Stars arrived at T.F. Green International Airport on Thursday evening for the final phase of preparations before their Group L opener against Panama in Toronto on June 17. The team will train in Providence before facing England in Boston and Croatia in Philadelphia.

Ms. Addai has been coordinating logistics, accommodation, and security liaison for the Ghana delegation since their arrival in the United States. The Providence Police Command is working with Team Ghana security to ensure safety during the team’s stay in Rhode Island.

President Okraku’s visit forms part of ongoing stakeholder engagements by the GFA leadership to ensure smooth preparations for Ghana’s five FIFA World Cup appearance.
