President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku has thrown his support behind Ampem Darkoa Ladies ahead of their crucial semi-final encounter against FC Dynamique in the WAFU B Women's Champions League qualifiers on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
The Ghanaian champions face the Benin side at the August 4 Stadium in Ouagadougou with a place in the final firmly at the top of their agenda.
President Simeon-Okraku has been in constant touch with the leadership of Ampem Darkoa Ladies throughout their campaign and has extended his best wishes to the team ahead of Wednesday evening's decisive encounter.
The President's support comes as the Ghanaian champions continue an impressive run in the competition, having emerged as one of the standout sides during the group stage.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies opened their campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over defending champions ASEC Mimosas before producing a dominant performance to thrash AS GNN 4-0.
The Ghanaian champions then demonstrated their resilience and determination in their final group match, staging a remarkable comeback to defeat Nigeria's Edo Queens 2-1.
The three consecutive victories ensured that Ampem Darkoa Ladies finished top of their group with a perfect nine points, underlining their strong credentials as contenders for a place in the final and ultimately the title.
Their impressive performances have placed the Ghanaian champions among the favourites heading into the semi-final stage.
FC Dynamique, on the other hand, endured a more difficult group-stage campaign, collecting a single point from their opening matches following a 3-0 defeat to Burkina Faso's USFA and a goalless draw against Togolese side ASKO in Group A.
The winner of the highly anticipated semi-final will advance to face either Burkina Faso champions USFA or Nigeria's Edo Queens, who meet in the other last-four encounter.
