President of the Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, paid a visit to the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence on Saturday, October 25, 2025, to interact with players and officials participating in the ongoing MTN Elite U19 Championship.

The GFA President made a brief stop at the Football Association’s Technical Centre in Prampram to witness Matchday Two of the competition, which continues to serve as a major platform for identifying and nurturing emerging football talents across the country.

During his visit, President Okraku took time to exchange pleasantries with players and officials of Brong Ahafo and Northern Region before their much-anticipated encounter. The friendly and motivational interaction appeared to have an immediate impact, as Brong Ahafo went on to record an emphatic 5–0 victory over Northern Region in their opening match of the tournament.

The President was accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Michael Osekre, as they observed proceedings and encouraged the young players to remain disciplined, focused and committed to developing their potential.

Running from October 23 to November 2, 2025, the MTN Elite U19 Championship brings together ten Regional Football Association (RFA) U-19 teams from across Ghana. The tournament provides a vital platform for the nation’s most promising young footballers to showcase their skills, gain valuable competitive experience, and attract the attention of national youth team coaches and professional scouts.

Proudly sponsored by MTN Ghana, the competition reflects the GFA’s strong commitment to youth football development, serving as a key pathway for players to progress from grassroots football to the national and professional stages.

President Okraku’s visit not only reinforced the Association’s dedication to nurturing future stars but also highlighted the GFA’s belief that investing in youth football remains central to the long-term growth and success of the Ghanaian game.
