The Premier League Board has confirmed that the elite competition will resume this Sunday with the final round of matches to end the first half of the season.

The first round of the season was originally fixed to have come to an end on December 12, 2010

But the date has had to be rescheduled PLB due to the suspension of all football related activity in the country after a raid on the GFA offices by the Economic and Organised Crime Office.

According to the PLB, the second half of the season will begin on Sunday 9 January with 22 May, the set date for the season to end. The second transfer window originally scheduled to end on Tuesday 15 December has now been extended to Friday 24 December.

However, the league will witness a break from 23 January 2011 to 2 March 2011 to allow the local Black Stars participate at the second edition of the African Nations Championship in Sudan, a competition designed by CAF for only home-based players of its member countries.
