Premiership match action bounces back in midweek as the Glo Premier League continues after a two-week break that allowed Ghana’s national team to take part in the maiden African Nations Championship.

With all the players back, the tone is set for the match-day-11 encounters despite the exertions the continental competition might have had on some key squad members.

Asante Kotoko reconvene the league action as the Baba Yara Stadium where they host Sekondi Eleven Wise in one of the big attractions in midweek.

The defending champions, trailing Hearts of Oak by seven points know they cannot slip any further considering the form shown by their arch rivals before the break.

However, as Kotoko look for all three points, the game will also be a big test for former Black Stars captain C.K Akunnor.

The retired international will make his competitive debut as coach of Wise when they travel to Kumasi on Wednesday.

League leaders, Hearts of Oak’s recent form under Kosta Papic has been almost flawless but the Phobians face a tricky game against Tema Youth at the Tema Park.

Third-placed Heart of Lions will now have only the premiership to focus on after their Caf Champions League preliminary exit as they travel to the Tamale Sports Stadium where they battle Real Tamale United.

Wa All Stars will be at home to Berekum Arsenals while Berekum Chelsea takes on Kessben FC at the Coronation Park.

King Faisal will be in Accra to play Liberty Professional at the Ohene Djan Stadium as Hasaacas attempting to play their way out of the relegation zone play bottom of the table, AshantiGold at the Sekondi Sports Stadium.

The final game of the match-day-11 fixtures comes up on Thursday as E. K Afranie tries to keep up Sporting Mirren when he leads the team for the first time in the league after replacing the Lebanese Fahdi Omari as coach.

Sporting Mirren take on Gamba All Blacks at the Ohene Djan Stadium.
