Agona Swedru came alive on Sunday as Swedru All Blacks United marked their long-awaited return to the  Premier League with a commanding 3–0 victory over Berekum Chelsea, their first home top-flight win in 16 years.

Zayat Bubakari broke the deadlock in the 26th minute before last season’s Division One top scorer, Rudolf Mensah, doubled the lead nine minutes later with a composed finish. Hafix Alhassan sealed the result in the 89th minute, capping a near-perfect performance. Samuel Fosu’s industrious display earned him the Most Valuable Player award and lifted the All Blacks to fourth place in the table.

FC Samartex 1996 1–1 Karela United

At the Nsenkyire Arena, FC Samartex were forced to settle for a second consecutive draw. Karela United struck first when Zaidan Mohammed fired home in the 11th minute, a performance that later earned him Man of the Match honours. The Timber Giants replied in the 74th minute through Samuel Mensah Tetteh to share the spoils.
